The Turmeric and Health Newsletter for October 2025

Welcome to my October Newsletter.

AC Healthy Solutions Newsletter | AC Healthy Solutions

I hope this newsletter finds you fit and well. This October is going to be a busy month for me, not only are school holidays on this October, but two of my favourite Festivals are running as well. The Myall River Festival in Tea Gardens and the Oyster and Timber Festival in Karuah. So, there will be plenty of opportunities to see me and I’m looking forward to meeting some new faces as well. I just hope that the weather stays as nice and sunny – and calm – as it has been over the past couple of weeks. That will make it great for everyone, not just the stall holders, but the Mums and Dads who have children to keep active and entertained. Markets and Festivals are a great day out for everyone, and most of them allow you to bring your four-footed friends as well.

I am very grateful for the wonderful benefits of my turmeric. For those of you who may not be aware I turned 70 in September and given how my knees were nearly a decade ago and how good they are now I’m absolutely sure that if I wasn’t taking my turmeric I wouldn’t be as fit and active as I am now, nor would I have been able to continue with the markets as I have been. Fingers crossed that I have a lot more birthdays to come. A palm reader I saw whilst I was in India last year, said that I will be going strong into my 90s. I will certainly do my best, and continue to take my turmeric. As you can see from the article below, there are so many benefits, I feel that we should all be taking it, whatever age you are. But I know that I’m biased! 😊 Mind you by the time I’m 90 even I will probably have given up doing my markets, maybe…😊 😊

In the meantime, I look forward to catching up with as many of you as possible in the coming months.

How Turmeric Works to Slow Aging

Turmeric capsules | AC Healthy Solutions

Turmeric is considered an anti-aging agent due to its active compound, curcumin, which possesses potent antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that combat cellular damage, reduce inflammation, and protect the skin from factors like sun exposure. It helps slow down the aging process by preventing DNA damage, improving skin elasticity, reducing fine lines and pigmentation, and can be used both internally for systemic health and topically in skincare products to achieve a more radiant complexion.

  • Antioxidant and Anti-inflammatory Effects: Turmeric's curcuminoids, particularly curcumin, fight free radicals and reduce chronic inflammation, which are primary contributors to the aging process.

  • DNA Protection: Curcumin has shown potential in preventing DNA damage and supporting DNA repair, which is crucial for slowing the aging process and reducing the risk of disease.

  • Skin Health Benefits: When applied topically, turmeric can brighten the skin, reduce hyperpigmentation and age spots, improve firmness, and reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines.

  • Mitochondrial Support: Curcumin can enhance mitochondrial function and boost antioxidant defenses within cells, which helps to counter age-related cellular decline.

Internal vs. Topical Application

  1. Internal Use: Adding turmeric to your diet supports overall health, boosts the immune system, and provides its anti-aging benefits from the inside out.

  2. Topical Use: Turmeric can be incorporated into face masks or creams to deliver benefits directly to the skin, helping to achieve a more youthful and radiant appearance.

Curcumin's low solubility and rapid elimination from the body can be a challenge, which is why at Health2all we not only use an organic turmeric with a 6% curcumin, we also add the piperine in black pepper that can significantly increase the rate of absorption of the curcumin, we also add the coconut oil to help the body transport the curcumin and help with the bioavailability – it helps to get it into all your cells. On top of that we have the digestive activators such as ginger, cinnamon, green tea and magnesium. All of which work to enhance its effectiveness. With a concentration of 13,000mg of curcumin in the powder and the capsules, and 4,600mg of curcumin in the elixir, you will find that they are strong enough to help your body whatever the reason is that you are taking your turmeric.Due to its strong pigment, turmeric can stain fabrics and skin, so I have ensured – through personal testing that none of my products will leave you looking yellow and off colour!!

INSTRUCTIONS:

The chia seeds will be dried so to avoid the smoothie being a little crunchy you should soak them in the almond milk for 5-10 minutes prior to blending.

Put all the ingredients in a blender and blitz.

If you like your smoothies colder just add some ice.

It really is that simple! What a great way to start the day – though you could have it at any time you want. Quick easy and full of excellent nutrition.

Enjoy. 😊
