Raising Awareness for Bowel Cancer

Updated: Mar 28

Bowel cancer is officially Australia's second deadliest cancer killer.

At AC Healthy Solutions, health is our passion and we are always ready to support campaigns and movements that can help raise awareness and bring about better health solutions.

Decembeard and Decembhair are two campaigns we supported last year as a way to raise awareness and lend support to patients and families impacted by bowel cancer. These are also ways to help raise funds for research.

If you've not heard of them, here is a good place to start.

Here's how it works for Decembeard: Get a clean shave on November 30 but then do not shave your face throughout the entire month of December, while seeking sponsorship from friends, family, co-workers, etc in the process.

If you prefer Decembhair, then whether it’s on your head, chest, body, legs, arms, eyebrows, wherever, you can choose a spot on your body and let it all hang out, meaning not cutting or trimming the hair in that designated spot for the same timeframe as Decembeard.
