Newsletter for Turmeric and Health Information October 2023

Hi everyone and welcome to my October newsletter.

October Newsletter | AC Healthy Solutions

I hope that you are all feeling well. I have one quick question for you all – who stole September? There I was busy getting my house back into some sort of order now that my wonderful l painter Steve has finished painting and suddenly, I’m at a market – it’s the first of October and I’m having to move the clock back an hour. I feel that it wasn’t just an hour that I lost but a whole month! 🙁

So, I do apologise for the fact that this newsletter is rather later than usual. I would claim that I was having a senior moment, but Turmeric is one of the very few things that can cross the blood: brain barrier and can help with certain forms of dementia, so I can’t really blame that as I regularly take my turmeric for my knees. I will put it down to trying to do too much at once and dropping the ball with my newsletter. I think that this is only the second time that I’ve been late in over seven years so that’s not a bad track record. Anyway, better late than never I say. 😊

I’m sure that those of you who have been taking my turmeric for some time are well aware of the power of this wonderful turmeric and I love to hear all your stories of how it has helped so many of you overcome the pain from which you were suffering, but I thought that I would explain to those of you who are new to the Health2all family just what a great product you have got your hands on and maybe some of you know others who would benefit from taking turmeric, and you could pass on this article to them.

My recipe is another from the Turmeric Chai family. If any of you are interested in getting some of the chai you can find it on my website at achealthysolutions.com.au or at any of my markets.

The markets are all a bit mixed up this month as October started on a Sunday, which throws out all the usual combinations, plus I have a couple of new markets to add to the mix, so do check out the events at the end of the newsletter. Hope to see you soon.

THE IMPORTANT DIFFERENCES WITH TURMERIC FROM HEALTH2ALL POWDER AND CAPSULES

Turmeric is a plant that grows throughout S.E. Asia and is used as a spice in many Indian food dishes, being the main ingredient in curry powder. However, the turmeric root also has potent medicinal properties and when combined with additional natural spices such as black pepper – is often used as a supplement for good health.

The active ingredient in turmeric is called “curcumin”, making up between 2 to 7 percent of the wholefood turmeric. Due to the poor absorption of curcumin, by the body, to achieve therapeutic benefits you will need to take a powder that is activated with black pepper. This makes the turmeric more bio-available (easily absorbed into the cells of the body).

According to a 1992 report in Clinical Pharmacokinetics when human volunteers were given a combination of curcumin and piperine, (a substance extracted from black pepper), instead of pure curcumin, the bioavailability of curcumin increased by an incredible 2000%! Moreover, the addition of piperine was found to enhance the serum concentrations of curcumin and the extent of its absorption, in the volunteers.

Turmeric Health Food | AC Healthy Solutions

Health2all have adapted this concept even further producing a powder supplement that not only combines turmeric containing a 6% curcumin, with black pepper but also including Coconut Oil (good fats for absorption and important in the transport of curcumin, which is fat soluble),True Cinnamon (great on its own for health however helps with absorption),  Ginger, Green Tea, Papaya, Tapioca and Magnesium to make it the most bioavailable turmeric powder possible.

Also, Health2all turmeric is a whole food product, this is important as recent research has shown that turmeric contains over 300 different components which all enhance it’s activity, rather than the single curcumin, added to which harsh chemicals are often used to extract the curcumin, which are not what you want in your body!!

Another important difference with Health2all Turmeric is what we use for our capsules. Many capsules on the market are made from Silica, which the body has great difficulty in breaking down, so you will only absorb about 40% of what is inside them. The same is true for tablets, that also must be broken down by the body before absorption can begin. Our capsules are made of a water-soluble veggie gel, which dissolves in water in less than 10 minutes – or any good rain shower, as demonstrated by my display capsules after a recent rain shower at a market!! So, you absorb nearly 100% of the curcumin as you would with the powder or elixir.

We are very proud of our product and the fact that our capsules are included on the Australian register of Therapeutic Goods. With us you know you are getting the “Real Deal” and not an imitation. Your body will thank you.

TURMERIC CHAI SALTED CARAMEL SMOOTHIE

Ingredients:

  • 3 large frozen bananas

  • 1 Medjool date

  • 1 tablespoon nut butter – almond is my favourite.

  • 1 teaspoon CurQone Turmeric Chai powder – the turmeric powder works just as well

  • 1 – 2 pinches Celtic salt

  • 1 – 2 cups water

Method:

  1. In a blender add all your smoothie ingredients and blend. You’ll want to keep this thick, so start with a cup of water and add more as you need.

  2. Once the smoothie is blended, pour into a glass of your choice.

  3. Top with a sprinkle of CurQone Turmeric chai powder.
